Off to a great start. Just over 7 buyins on first day. Feels good, will be hitting up 3/6 tomorrow. Haha that went way faster than I expected.
One other thing that I will be doing throughout this challenge is really trying to game select, I wasn\’t very good at following that when I moved up the NL levels, and I think overall this helped make me a better player. But ev wise it makes way more sense to game select so I\’ll be doing alot of that, and thankfully at the lower stakes there are so many tables I\’ll really be able to jump around initially.
Also if anyone has any guestions or suggestions on how to keep things interesting feel free to let me know or leave comments with questions.
I plan on making a progress graph of some sort to give a graphical representation of progress along the way.
Start 4000. End 6876.
Well, welcome to my blog everyone. Thought I\’d keep one as I havne\’t really kept a poker one in a long time.
What I am doing now is learning omaha, I\’ve done quite well at the higher stakes NL holdem games for a few years now (obv brag) and now I\’m trying to learn omaha. I plan on talking about some hands, my feelings as I move through the levels and specifically about my bankroll.
As the blog title suggests I am aiming to go from $zero to a $million. I had originally thought a timeline of a year would be good for this, but I am quite lazy lately and often don\’t feel like playing so I think I will set the timeline at 2 years, well 1 year 11 monhts, since this year has already started. I think that is a reasonable timeframe. Ideally I\’d like to be able to do it entirely this year, but I\’m not going to push myself. So we\’ll see how it goes.
Now I will be cheating a little bit, as I\’ll be starting out at 2/4PLO with 4k. And I will essentially be topping that up unlimited times, but I will only move up when I have above 11 buyins for the next level, so 3/6 I\’ll need 6600 before I can play there. If I drop below 6000 I\’ll have to grind it back up again at 2/4 before I can move up to 3/6. I\’ll follow this strategy through all levels. If I keep losing at 2/4 I\’ll just stay at that level but will keep track of the balance and will have to get it back to +6600 overall before I can move up. So I definatley don\’t want to be spewy at 2/4 (or anywhere) as I\’ll always have to work myself out of any hole I dig, so its not just going to be easy coasting just cuz i can stay at 2/4.
